Its format was a straight league followed by a “final” in which the first and second rinks in the league played each other to determine the winner. Gilleas McCallum, who died in 2007, presented the Cup for this competition.
At the AGM in 2004, it was agreed to change this competition to promote the experience of club members by playing in a higher position than usual, with skips playing as leads. Since that year, the Competition has undergone a variety of changes in how rinks were selected, but it has always operated on a straight league basis.
